Young Frank Sinatra...no wonder my mother swooned! He was with us from 1915-1998.

River Phoenix 1970-1993

IMDb trivia:  He was supposed to be the interviewer in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994) but died. Christian Slater (another ABC cutie) took his place, and donated his entire paycheck from the movie to all of River's favorite charities.

Was set to star in Total Eclipse (1995), the story of a young gay poet. After River died the part was given to Leonardo DiCaprio.

I didn't know about Total Eclipse, he would have been wonderful in the part.  Nothing against Leo, he was good too.
