Thursday morning, 29 degrees. Schools are closed today because of the SNOWSTORM! Yes, we probably got about a foot of snow yesterday. It looks like winter has returned out there!

I once heard someone call a late season storm like this Mother Nature's fertilizer (for farmers, that is).

Yes, a foot.

Here's the view out of my backyard, taken just moments ago:

And here's the outdoor shower, not likely to be opened this weekend!

WOW! :o April showers bring May flowers, but what do April snowstorms bring? Hang in there, Leslie--we're having a little cool snap here in Central Texas, but nothing like what you're facing!

Basking in Southern comfort,
Scott

The one good thing is, when you get a storm like this in April, you know all the snow will be gone within a week or less.

And it means you're not in a drought.

But having just seen The Day After Tomorrow for the first time a couple of weeks ago, it does look a might menacing.

good lord!  That is some blow!  Nor'easter!

Can I repeat just exactly how much I do NOT miss New England?
“Mr. Coyote always gets me good, boy,”  Ellery said, winking.  “Almost forgot what life was like before I got me my own personal coyote.”
