I am beginning to understand why so many Floridians get dangerously blase about hurricanes/storms. There is such blanket coverage of it, even warnings going across the bottom of whatever programme you are watching.
You spend hours and hours lugging everything inside, boarding up etc, then NOTHING !!!!
I really think they need to tone it all down a bit, the over sensationalism ultimately probably kills more people than it saves. I will not be in such a big hurry next time round.
Its now going to take hours more to undo everything, and there"s another one brewing in the atlantic.
Still every cloud as they say, and the store was nearly emptied yesterday, best business day we have had in months!!!!

The weekend's snow stuck longer than an hour...especially in the high country. Here's a view of my local Fourteener, Mt. Evans, taken yesterday evening. Yes, it's the same one you climbed in June, Vermont Sunset!!

Morning all,

Chilly this morning...52 degrees. It is supposed to get up to 85 this weekend, though! Summer is back!

It was 59 degrees here when I left home for the bus stop. A foretaste of fall, air perfectly dry, not a cloud in the china-blue sky. My kind of weather.  :)

What a beautiful view. Reminds me of the Scottish Highlands. Single track road, where you could drive for miles and not see another human, maybe a few highland cows.
Then you would turn a corner and right at the bottom would be the sea, either sparkling in the sun, or grey in the drizzle.
My brother and I never tired of playing the game, first to spot the sea.
Mum would be in the front knitting, and dad would just be hapy to be back in his home country. We alwawys had the same sweets for the journeys as well, orange and lemon boile sweets, shaped like segments,We could neve understand why mum bought the lemon ones as no one ever ate them!!!!
It is funny how you come on here and one isaolated thing will jog a whole series of memories.

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!
