Gorham High hosting "Survivor" party

A "Survivor" night will be held at Gorham High School Thursday, so students, faculty and friends can cheer on physics teacher Bob Crowley as he competes on the hit CBS reality show.

Up to 700 people in the school's auditorium will get to see Crowley competing on "Survivor: Gabon - Earth's Last Eden," which was filmed in Africa during the summer. The event is a fund raiser for the school's Class of 2009, and money raised will help pay graduation costs. Admission is $3.

Crowley will speak a little about his experiences in Africa at 7:30 p.m. Then from 8 to 9 p.m. the crowd will watch the third episode of this season's "Survivor" on a projection TV.

Crowley survived the first two episodes, which both aired last week. He's prohibited from saying how he did on the show, so Thursday's crowd will have to wait and see if their favorite teacher makes it through or gets voted off by the other contestants.

The event is open to the public. Tickets are available in advance at the school, 41 Morrill Ave., or at the door Thursday night.

The season of "Survivor" ends in December and the last contestant on the show will win $1 million.

Yep, it is raining on the west coast as well.
I am definitley better in the sunshine.I wake up to rain and my whole mood collapses. Even the dogs seem put out, they are all lounging around under cover in the lanai as it is still warm,but they cannot, or will not go out in the rain, chasing squirrels and such.Tennis son is in filthy mood, as it looks like yet again tennis will be a washout, so that is now 2 days and he is starting to get cabin fever. !!!
