HA HA HA!    Puritans?   No.       But the point I was trying to make is that people shouldn't think that there is no chance that their latex friend will not be seen if placed in their carry on bag.

I am in favor of friends travelling with toys.    But I don't see the need to use one while in flight.   The turbulance is bad enough without something jammed up your ass.    Then again......    LOL

Maybe  he needed to really relax, who knows  LOL

Making regular citizens a target is not the solution and can led to tragedy like the case of the brazilian immigrant who was confused with a terrorist in London and was shot to death by the police. He was just another subway traveller.

That was just a c*ck up from start to finish. The day it happened it was all over the news - he ran from police, vaulted the ticket barrier, was wearing a heavy jacket - despite the summer weather - that could conceal explosives, he didn't head warnings.

We then found out that all that information was simply untrue - he had a very lightweight jacket - akin to the summer - and he had been shot eight times at close range (2 in the head) . This guy had camly got on a bus from his flat and then gone into the underground - again camly - enough to pick up a free metro newspaper and make his way to the platform and on to the train that was waiting as he got there. it was then and there that the police decided to shoot him. They decided not in the leg - as if he had explosions he could still set off a detonator.

why did they not worry when he was on the bus - and lie to us about what initially happened? I know these fire arm poliice sometimes have to make quick decisions and it can be tragic.. but c'mon.

Morning all,

The record breaking cold temps continue. Right now it is -3.1 degrees. They are saying this Arctic air that has settled over the state will move on today and it may get up to the 40s tomorrow. I hope so! This bone chilling cold is tiring.

Interestingly, even though we have broken all sorts of records this week (lowest low temperature, lowest high temperature, every day, all week) it is not generating the usual front page article in the paper. I think the reporters know that everyone is sick and tired of the cold weather and we really don't want to read about it.

Right now it is -3.1 degrees.

Wow. ... That tenth of a degree must make it really unbearable. ...  ;)  ;D

The frigid cold seems to have ended. It is sunny, blue sky and 23.5 degrees right now, and supposed to get up to the 40s today. Finally!

No fair you always get the jump on us guys in later time zones. And it will be worse tomorrow! I'll see if I can nudge Eric awake since I'm just one pillow over.
