I love that Watteau painting!!  Watteau is one of my favorite artists.

Maybe, I used to find smoking sexy ! ??

But, I assure you that I do not anymore, with such smoking fingers so coloured distastfully, etc., !!

I was at a religious meeting with one of my brothers lately, and I saw that he was caughing often there, because he smokes!!

And now, he is a pile of nerves!!

Sad!

So, I prefer images of healthy persons !!

Good habits are better !! ??

I love that Watteau painting!!  Watteau is one of my favorite artists. 

Watteau's work is great, I just don't like having a famous dim-witted namesake.  Maybe it hits too close to home?  :   I was in a (leather) bar in Vienna once, back in the 80's, I had stupidly gone there directly from the Opera (Die Rosen Kavalier which was wonderful!) so I wasn't exactly dressed for the part.  A good-looking guy started a conversation and when he heard that my name was Gilles he immediately mentioned the Watteau painting.  I guess the combination of the clothing style of the time (pants, baggy at the top and narrow at the bottom), my visible discomfort at not being fdressed appropriately which no doubt made me look like an idiot, and then my name, I just brought the painting to life for him.  Regardless of that initial humiliation, I ended up having a great few days with my new friend.  (and I still pine for him to this day )
