How to contribute to sending flowers/condolences to Australia
Kerry:
This is the floral tribute I sent. It's called a Petite Sympathy Basket in the Interflora catalogue. :'(
Because it appears that the BetterMost flowers didn't get through, in a spirit of love and fraternity at this sad time, I would like everyone here at BetterMost to consider that these flowers were sent from all of us, not just from me alone. :-* :-* :-*
Verona:
I sent the heart with the white lilies, and I too sent it in the spirit of love and fraternity... I signed it on behalf of "the world," and the heart was to symbolize the love and light he inspired and encouraged in all of us.
The BetterMost flowers can still be sent! I'm sure there is no shortage of tributes being sent to the cemetery, as it is just a few days after the funeral. They're probably still making their way through the first influx. The man was truly loved.
Meryl:
Kerry and Verona, you're the best. Thanks, buds. :-* :-* :-*
So what's the consensus? Should I have Peachy send some flowers to Karrakatta?

I would be pleased to go with the consensus, but would like to give Interflora and the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board a day or two more to get back to me with their responses to my query, before committing more funds IMHO.
When Peachy does place the order, could I suggest that she do so via the Interflora freecall number 1800 808 500, rather than via the Interflora website? By doing so, the operator at Interflora will be able to advise if the order can be accepted or not, prior to committing funds. Just a thought.

It would be nice to know that the tribute will actually reach the family. Perhaps Karrakatta can tell us if they are still accepting floral tributes and keeping the guestbook and/or forwarding cards to the family. It's hard to imagine that they've already packed it all away, considering the sheer volume of tributes they must be dealing with (and still expecting).
