Born in Puerto Rico and later moving to NYC, Safire was signed to Cutting Records and recorded the single "Don't Break My Heart". It became a huge hit, and Safire released her debut CD "Safire" which was released with the Cutting/Mercury label. The CD had 6 singles that became hits, the biggest was the ballad "Thinking Of You" which was a tribute to her uncle who died of aids.

Her second CD was "Wasn't Born Yesterday" and two more songs "Made Up My Mind" & "Taste The Bass" became hits.

Her 3rd CD was "Bringing Back The Groove", which featured remixes of her hits, and some new songs, one of them "Can You Stand The Rain" (a duet with fellow freestyle singer Cynthia) became a big dance radio hit.

Safire is still performing today.

She was one of the original members of Exposé, (with Alé & Laurie), when that version broke up, Sandée (pronounced San Day) went solo.

Originally signed by Atlantic records, she released the single "You're The One".

Atlantic didn't pick her up for an album deal, and she was signed to Fever Records. Fever released her debut CD, "Only Time Will Tell". Two singles became hits "Notice Me" and the spoken word/sung "Love Desire", which also hit the Hot 100.

Sandée continued to perform and was recording new material. However, on December 15th, 2008, Sandée was found dead in her home, she suffed a seizure.

Signed to Next Plateau records, lead Betty LeBron (also known as Betty Dee), and sisters Margie and Mari Hernandez formed Sweet Tempation. Just as they were to release their first single, they received word they couldn't use that name, due to legal issues with the group The Tempations.

Renamed Sweet Sensation, the group released their first song "Hooked On You". It became a big dance hit, and crossed over to the pop charts.

As their debut CD was released, (after a move to major label Atco Records) Mari left the group and was replaced by Sheila Vega.

After two big dance hits (Take It While It's Hot & Never Let You Go), the group released what was supposed to be the last single from the CD, "Sincerely Yours".

"Sincerely Yours" became a surprise Top 20 pop hit. Wanting to strike while the iron was hot, Atco re-released the first song "Hooked On You" with a new video, and it got to #23 on the pop charts this time.

Sweet Sensation released their second CD "Love Child" in 1991. "Love Child" the single (a remake of The Surpemes song) got to #14 on the pop charts, and the love ballad "If Wishes Came True" went all the way to #1 while they were on tour as the opening act for New Kids On the Block.

After the tour was over, Sheila and Marige left Sweet Sensation, and they were replaced with Belle and Janaé. A remix of their hits were released under the title "Time To Jam".

in the mid 2000s, Sweet Sensation reformed with Betty Dee, Sheila, and Janaé. They performed a few more years, and then retired again, but left the door open to reform again.

Timmy T was born in Fresno, California. Timmy T recorded the song "Time After Time" (not a remake of the Cyndi Lauper song) in his garage, and took it to radio stations. They gave it airplay, and Quality Records signed Timmy to an album deal.

"Time After Time" was a big dance hit, and Hit the Top 40 chart as well. His biggest hit was the love ballad "One More Try" which went to #1 on the Hot 100 chart.

Formed by Bob Rosenberg and Suzi Carr in 1986, Will To Power recorded the single "Dreamin'". It got huge amounts of airplay and crossed over to the Hot 100 chart. Epic records later signed them to an album deal.

The CD was released, and a second single "Say It's Gonna Rain" was even bigger than "Dreamin'". However, the third single, a ballad remake of "Baby I Love Your Way/Freebird" reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

1991 saw the release of a second CD "Journey Home". the CDs lead single "I'm Not In Love" hit the Top 10 of the billboard chart.

Will To Power still performs in shows today.
