I just noticed that SHELTER is rated R by the MPAA!?  That is completely ridiculous, isn't it?  It seems to me that teens would love this movie, it's obviously directed at a young crowd.  But then again, BUT I"M A CHEERLEADER, another gay teen film, was intially rated NC-17 and ended up with an R after an "offending" fully clothed female masturbation scene was cut.  Most American R-rated films are 14A  here in Canada.  How is it that the country that makes the best porn can be so uptight about sex in movies?
