Yes, a little showdown, but quite touching.  It's hard for anyone to think clearly when they care so damn much.  And, no, Ellery is a lot of things, but never a crybaby.  But he really does need to go home and be loved by Colson and give his poor abused brain a chance to heal instead of being constantly picked at.

An Colson half convinced I got some deep dark secret a hetrosexuality or somethin I’m keepin from em,” ..

Well, thank God we know it's not that bad!!!    Yes, even with a cracked brain he's still Ellery!  Thanks, Louise.

Being attracted to women or having sex with them truly IS one of the worst calamities Ellery can imagine befalling him.  The most fun I ever had with that aspect of his personality was when he had the pulled rib and was trying to watch porn in the Holiday Inn and the woman kept blocking his view of the man and it just wouldn't work for him.

I really do like how this story is turning out.

   It was a lot of fun to read, too, Louise!  I remember that so well -  Wes called him right in the middle of it and, of course, it was another one of those "I didn't need to know that, Ellery!" moments!

That was a hilarious scene Louise. Ellery was telling Wes that he was watching 'normal people porn' or something like that.

This won't be the end of Ellery telling Wes things he just doesn't want to know!
