Did Cohen's Bruno get NC-17 because he's gay?

Ang's "Lust, Caution" had explicit straight sex, and was rated NC-17. 

I think explicitness is more objective than crudneness.

Of course, it's because it's GAY sex! ( I know it was a rhetorical question  ;))  The MPAA is well known for its homophobia.  They consider "alternate sexuality"more obscene.  My favourite example:  They originally slapped an NC-17 rating on BUT I'M A CHEERLEADER which is basically a cute gay comedy for teens. 

I'm sad to see that the director is caving in and making cuts.  I'll skip it when it opens in theatres and just wait for the "director's cut" dvd.



And some people claim that the MPAA is not a censor.   :laugh:
