That is a very sweet story David...I love old stories passed down from generation to generation...I wish I had memorized the ones my grandmother used to tell me...They were wonderful....

Thanks Janice!!  :-*

I tried to use some of the old Lakota folklore in my story that my Mother used to tell me. She was a terrific story teller. And Little Eagle is actually me; well a little bit anyway. Cikala Wanbli (Little Eagle) was the Lakota name my Mother gave me when I was very small. Tunkasila is modeled after my Grandfather, who used to take me down to the woods and talk with me. He knew where my secret place was and he would go down there with me and teach me his wisdom. He wasn't Lakota though. He was Dutch! He's from the other side (my father's side) of the family.

So, there you go! I sure am glad you enjoyed it!  :D

aw, David...that is so sweet. I really do like that. It could be a storybook for a child. I can just imagine the illustrations...

Hey Kelda and Melissa!  :D

I can't write any stories tonight Melissa. We're watching a scary movie right now. It's called The Messengers.

I'm scared!  :'(

Alex is sitting here holding me. (It's hard to type when he's doing that to me.)

He better not let go of me! This movie is SCARY!!!!  :o
