I've read they will change the format of the Oscars for him. He's not a comedian, so they're going to get rid of the opening monologue. I imagine it will be like a variety show, some jokes, some singing and dancing from him. Though that isn't necessarily a good sign - somewhat like that infamous Oscars where Rob Lowe danced with Snow White. I saw when Hugh hosted - was it the Tonys? - he was handsome, charming; he danced, he sang, he embarrassed Sarah Jessica Parker and er, he wasn't that great...I wasn't impressed much with either his singing or dancing.
I'm just saying...

I kinda hope he neither sings nor dances; that's OK for Broadway, but doesn't have much to do with the Oscars. Unless he does one of those awful Billy Crystal era medleys.

I keep thinking back to Laughlin, his short lived show earlier in the year.. To say that was
awful, would be generous.. I just don't want him to embarress himself like that.. again.

Yes, I know what you all are saying.
Lets hope we just see the real everyday guy that Hugh is, and he is not compelled to get into all the false Oscar hype that often goes on with these award shows.
