Oh my, it was fun looking back through the gallery... I picked a very g-rated picture, I know...
So, these are the sheets that have to get washed all the time, from all the gettin' fancy that goes on at Ellery's house...

Where Colson had to spend the night after effin Bill gave him his legbone. And where Ellery spent the night sitting at his bedside, watching over his sweetheart.
....Ellery leaned back over and slid his arm around Colson’s shoulder once more, nuzzling his uninjured cheek. “I care about you, boy... it about made my heart leap when Carol told me the ambulance called about you. You got ta be more careful.” He moved his head, pressing his lips against Colson’s in a soft, gentle kiss, and then whispered against his mouth. “Promise me you’re goin to be more careful.”
“I promise,” Colson said, tears standing in his eyes.

Where Adam wrote down some thoughts during his first summer with Colson:
“July 28: Had another row about the cooking, and he took off. Came back two hours later with two wild turkeys, didn’t say nothing but just plucked em an put em on the fire. I tried to thank him but what we done in the tent after was thanks enough. It’s almost worth riling him to get him all worked up that way. This is the kind of thinking that sends a man to hell.”
