That is true, but Jeremy's action was impulsive, and he didn't want to be hung up on by a sarcastic Ellery, and it is harder to turn away a hangdog look when it's standing at the door.
“Mr. Coyote always gets me good, boy,”  Ellery said, winking.  “Almost forgot what life was like before I got me my own personal coyote.”

Hangdog look!  LOL!  Yeah, all that - and - he is was in a big freakin' hurry to tattle and to get Ellery to do his dirty work for him and fire Nick - instead of waiting for Nick to come back and handling it himself.  ::)  Sheesh - and everyone's calling Nick immature!  LOL!!  BUT . . I have to say I enjoyed seeing this less-than-perfect side of Jeremy - makes me love him even more!  I hate perfect people!   ;D

And I have to admit, the evil side of me so enjoys Ellery in no holds-barred sarcastic ass-kicking mode!  And I do hope Jeremy paid close attention to the excellent advice and paid attention to what he saw - two people who love each other bickering and bitching - perfectly normal behavior for all couples at times!

Thanks, Louise!

I didn't want you guys to think I had died or anything.

Well i nearly died laughing at that last chapter Louise! Great banter between E & E. And poor Dupree trying to stick to the subject!

SPOILER

“Can we get back to the subject? How do you two stand each other?”

“We fuck a lot,” Ellery said.

Jeremy blushed. “Can we not talk about that please?”

Great stuff Louise! thanks

hiya peeps..

I read "Red Stallions for Christmas" last night.  Awesome stuff!  Loved the girls and 'Uncle Ellery' and the Christmas festivities!
I am halfway through "Home for the Holidays" ..enjoying it immensely so far .. savoring all the Jeremy and Nick goodness.
I've missed those two, for sure ..
Hope I can start 'A Small Circle of friends' tomorrow!
