For the BetterMost chat system to work on your computer, you will need to install Java.  It's free, easy to install, and available here. 

That page will also be able to tell you if you have Java already installed, and if it's the current version. 

Please - before PMing us that the chat system doesn't work on your computer, first install this latest version of Java.  We can't help you without it.

If your browser does not fully support Java, and there are very few that don't - the newer versions on Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, and Opera all do.  But most people don't realize you need to visit the link noted above to download the most current version - the included version of Java in most browsers is limited and/or outdated, so everyone should take a moment and make sure they are running the most current version.

Also, I highly recommend you download and install Macromedia Flash, which is going to be more and more important around BetterMost in the coming days.  That is available here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ and is also free.
