Depp, Law, and Farrell took no compensation for their work; instead, they donated their salaries to Heath Ledger's two-year-old daughter, Matilda.

OMG---that is so sweet. Very touching. I've always loved Johnny Depp. And the other two are great actors.  Now I have another good reason to appreciate Jude Law and Colin Farrell.

That's great. Thanks for posting, Elle.

Good morning Heathens :)

thank y'all for you comments :-*
Too bad todays pic is so small. It's so darned cute I'd like to have a bigger version. Maybe one of you has it in a better resolution?

Hm, I have this one from somewhere. It's not much bigger I guess, but a little.  It's a really cute picture.  I loooove all the iPod ones too, by the way.

Thanks for posting that quote of Heath's, carolina.  I don't remember reading that before.  I get the sense about him that that's true.  It says he said it a month before Matilda was born.

Good morning Heathens :)

A lovely way to start to the morning. It always surprises me how many photos show Heath smoking. It does not bother me as I smoke myself,it just makes me think. Was he so well loved that he did not get the normal PC flak ? I like to think so.

Hunh. I almost didn't see that quote in the corner. Interesting. I wonder how long ago he said that. He looks fairly young in the picture.

Gilliam sounded proud of his film and genuinely awed by the generosity of the actors who came forward to save the picture and ensure its completion. Despite their high profiles, Depp, Law, and Farrell took no compensation for their work; instead, they donated their salaries to Heath Ledger's two-year-old daughter, Matilda.

Wow. I just love the way everyone is coming together to take care of things. Matilda, the movie, etc. Thanks for this article Elle!  :)
