Oops, sorry about the caballero thing. I should have explained.

And while we were sitting on the beach, my husband was reading the newspaper El Pais. It had a page wide review of TDK (complete with a big picture of The Joker of course). The reviewer had not one good word for the movie as a whole, but Heath's performance was described as fantastic.

And the day we left, our local newspaper had a page wide article too titled 'How to advertise a dead star'.  :-\ I find it all tough to read, but this movie and all the hoopla will pass.

BBM never will.
  :)

Amen, sister!

Paul is right. But it also means "rider" and "knight". And oscuro means "dark".

--> El Caballero Oscuro = The Dark Knight

Thanks for clearing that up! I thought it meant "The Gray Cowboy" and I was mystified for why a plane would be flying over a beach in Spain advertising that! I thought maybe it was a brand of whiskey or something. LOL

Oh! I self-translated it as "the hidden cowboy," which seemed very BBM-y.  "Caballo" does mean horse.

But I do remember now that "cowboy" in Spanish is "vaquero," "vaca" meaning "cow."

That's really interesting Elle. I hope that the footage and interpretation will be released somehow. Thanks for posting that!  :)

I would love to see that footage and translation, but as always, bittersweet, particularly if he was not feeling well.

I thought asking about caballero would be a stupid question. Looks like I wasn't the only one confused!  :P

Thanks for clearing that up!

Good morning Heathens :)

Not to give you a wrong impression ... I don't speak Spanish. I knew caballo and caballero, but had to look up oscuro.
