Looks like the outfit he wore at the Toronto press conference. Very nice.

A couple of years ago (or whenever), when we found out that Heath was preparing to direct a film version of The Queen's Gambit by Walter Tevis, I set up an automatic Google search for that title, to keep watch of any developments.  Turning that book into a film was an excellent, insightful choice for him.

The results of the search still trickle in, now and then, but Heath hasn't been associated with them anymore.  I still can't seem to be ready to turn off that search.  It was the Heath project I was most excited about.

So sad! I know, it seems like he had so much untapped talent huh.

I was just thinking about that, Elle.  Especially after listening to the new concert version of "Chess" with Idina Menzel, Adam Pascal and Josh Groban (!).  I can't help but think what he might have done to adapt that book, with Ellen Page as the main character.
