Look at the foreshadowing, it's the TAN and BROWN family:

From left, Heath's great-grandfather, Sir Frank Ledger, 86, Heath aged 6, dad Kim, 35, and Heath's grandfather, Colin Ledger, 60. All the senior Ledgers were engineers. (1985)

Paraphrasing Annie Proulx: "Moremojo couldn't see much of future Heath in any of them." But you can already recognize Heath Ledger, Famous Actor in little Heath--those little brown eyes sparkling with such life and intelligence. Thanks for sharing this rare image of les Ledger.

Cheers,
Scott

Anyone watched Heath's movie "The Four Feathers"?
I just bought it on DVD, can't wait to watch it tonight -  :)

Did you like it? Apparently it's not well liked - even among Heath fans. I LOVE IT! I think Heath is beautiful in it and there is some great performance by him. It's the film that made me discover Heath!

Love that picture! I think he looks a lot more like his grandfather, than his father....

Glad you liked "The Four Feathers". There are scenes I can watch over and over...

"Lords of Dogtown" got a little getting used to. Only when I saw the extras about the real scateboard drivers, that it 'made more sense'..

I have "Borthers Grimm" at home, but haven't watched it yet. Did not get the chance to see it in the cinema. I might have time tonight!

I just caught "Lords of Dogtown" on cable the other night.  The style was so raucous and restless, just like the kids themselves.   I think it worked pretty well.

Heath sounded so strange with that flat, nasal American accent!  He also looked like he had some sort of dental prosthetic that made him look like Val Kilmer to me--his teeth seemed to protrude more than usual.  Either that, or it was how he held his upper lip.  He certainly looked different as Ennis, though, without any prosthetic, so it could just be good physical acting.

Two things that foreshadowed Brokeback:  one skateboard competition took place in Del Mar, California; and Heath said "Hunh" a lot.  ;D

I loved Brothers Grimm!  What a fantasy and fairy tale!  It was really cute!  :)
