Life is never easy
although we wish it were
it can run by at breakneck speed
we only see it as a blur
we wish for only positive
we only wish to gain
but we feel like we're in darkness
it seems we only feel the pain
weight of the world upon us
it seems too much to bear
we cry, we scream, we shed the tears
feels like our hearts will tear.
the world can be such a harsh place
that's something that we're told
so let's reach out to one another
grab a friend to hold
darkness and hurt will always fade
no matter what the size
so let's climb the mountain side by side
and wait for the sun to rise

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

Carmen Miranda would be proud!

Hello BetterMost!

My little magical angel will be back on Monday.  It will feel right then.  For now, a quiet greeting of sorts.

I'm on my way to Jackie's apartment today.  Her family has decided to open the door there to a small group of Brokies, and I'm one of the ones making the trip.  Her family knows all about the Brokies, and wants to meet some of us, to hear about Jackie's trips with us.

I did want toget back to my routine somewhat, so i'm restarting the "Which version is better?" poll today.

With our last poll, for the first time, the remake beat the original, with Cathy Denis beating the Wish ft Fonda Rae version by 1 vote.

Although, I know which versioin will win this poll......

In 1955, Elvis began is never ending reign as the King of Rock & Roll.  He sold millions of singles and albums, sold out concerts and movie theaters, and performed until the time of his death.

In 1962, Elvis got to #2 on the Billboad Hot 100 with his song "Can't Help Fallin' In Love".

For a ten year stretch (1983 - 1993)  English reggae band UB40 collected a string of hits in the US, mainly reggae versions of popular songs.  In 1990, UB40 remade the Elvis tune in their own style, and it not only appeared on their own CD, but on the soundtrack for the movie "Sliver", staring Sharon Stone.

Their version charted better than Elvis' original, getting to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1993.

So, which version do you like better?
