OMG, he's gonna jump out of someone's birthday cake. ...  :o

Oh, I sooooo don't think so!

Well, I'm back from the surprise, so I can discuss now.

Back in July, I entered into a "biggest loser" contest with a member of DCF named Bobby19in1963, to see who could lose the most weight.

we also wanted to do a meeting after the race was over.

So I contacted a member who lives in Arizona, and am staying with him and we all went out to dinner today, and surprised Bobby.  He had no idea I was here.

It was fun to surprise him that way.

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

Nice!  :D

I still bet you'd be fun jumping out of a birthday cake.

I've seen the pictures of you playing horseshoes. ...  8)

I don't have a birthday. My parents found me under a cabbage leaf.  ::)

Good Morning BetterMost!

It's good to see you all!

I'm back from my trip to Arizona.  Met some new people, had a great time, and saw new places.  Also got a great shot of an Arizona sunset.

My poem for today was something I said I would write a while ago, but didn't get around to posting.  I had a lot of "dark" poems at that time, so I waited until I got some lighter ones up.  There was some joking about posting a "sick knee" poem, so here it is.

Body Betrayal.

----------------------------------------

We've heard all the sayings
you should treat your body
like it's a temple
If you are good to it
it will be good to you

I treated my body like trash
and didn't care about it
and finally realized one day
that I needed to fix this
when I ran out of energy dancing
at the wedding of some friends

The next day, changes started
Heathy food in, and energy out
being rewarded with losses
shrinking weight and waist
and suddenly to my surprise
energy that I never had before

So imagine my surprise
when I woke up to find out
I had been betrayed by my body
even though I'm doing as I should
and I have yet
to reach the goals that I've set

feeling like a bowl of cereal
as my body "snaps" "crackles" and "pops"
and walking around with doubt
as my knee feels better now
but I know it's a bomb
ready to blow at any time

Keeping myself stocked with pain killers
just in case
and a knee brace in my bedroom
and in my workout bag
so I always have one, if needed
I don't want to be caught by surprise

I started this lifestyle change
because I wanted to dance
and with each step I take
I hear my knee crack and I wonder
If I'll be able to dance
when my own wedding day comes.
