Indiana Gold

The Autumn colors in Indiana are rather disappointing this year. They say it's due to a very dry summer and an unusually warm fall. Anyhow, I did manage to find a few trees with some color on them. The crimsons and golds of the Hoosier state are disappointing this year, but for what it's worth, here's what I found...
Down near the small river called Fall Creek, the colors were even more disappointing. The river is showing signs of our very dry summer. It's down several feet from where it should be; I could almost walk across it, and small islands have formed in the middle. This area was my "secret place" as a child. I came down here all the time to think and converse with nature and the animals living there...
Fall Creek Parkway, on the northeast side of Indianapolis...

Thanks Dottie!!
I'm going to take some more pictures in a day or two. There's a little bit more color out there now. This hasn't been one of our best years though.
