I haven't heard that song in a very long time. I definitely remember it and it is one of those that is also one of my favorites that I had actually forgotten about. I'll look around and see if I can find where you can get the CD.

One of many JB songs with amazing lyrics ...

Jackson Browne
Farther On

Those are amazing lyrics. Now those are some I may have missed the meaning without reading them.

Thank you very much, I would appreciate that. It also has a song on it called, "Behind closed doors". Lot,s of others too. I had it years ago and I really loved it. It drives me insane when I can,t find things I,m looking for. It gets me so cross it makes me say bad words.  ;)

Here's an old one that always makes sense, something many of us search for, but finding it is something that may never happen and maybe it truly is because we are looking in the the wrong places

Lookin' For Love
by Johnny Lee

Well, I spent a lifetime lookin' for you
Single bars and good time lovers were never true
Playin' a fools game, hopin' to win
Tellin' those sweet lies and losin' again

I was lookin' for love in all the wrong places
Lookin' for love in too many faces
Searchin' their eyes, lookin' for traces
Of what I'm dreamin' of
Hopin' to find a friend and a lover
I'll bless the day I discover
Another heart lookin' for love

And I was alone then, no love in site
I did everything I could to get me through the night
I don''t know where it started or where it might end
I'd turn to a stranger just like a friend

'Cause I was lookin' for love
In all the wrong places
Lookin' for love in too many faces
Searchin' their eyes, lookin' for traces
Of what I'm dreamin' of
Hopin' to find a friend and a lover
I'll bless the day I discover
Another heart lookin' for love

And you came a knockin' at my heart's door
You're everything I've been lookin' for
There's no more lookin' for love
In all the wrong places
Lookin' for love in too many faces
Searchin' their eyes
Lookin' for traces
Of what I'm dreamin' of
Now that I found a friend and a lover
God bless the day I discovered you
Oh you, lookin' for love

(Lookin' for love) in all the wrong places
(Lookin' for love) in too many faces
Searchin' their eyes, lookin' for traces
Of what I'm dreamin' of
Now that I've found a friend and a lover
God bless the day I discovered you
Oh you, lookin' for love

(Lookin' for love) in all the wrong places
(Lookin' for love) in too many faces
Searchin' their eyes, lookin' for traces
Of what I'm dreamin' of
Now that I've found a friend and a lover

And here's an even older song

Traces
by The Classics IV

Faded photographs
Covered now with lines and creases
Tickets torn in half
Memories in bits and pieces
Traces of love long ago
That didn't work out right
Traces of love

Ribbons from her hair
Souvenirs of days together
The ring he used to wear
Pages from an old love letter
Traces of love long ago
That didn't work out right
Traces of love
With me tonight

I close my eyes and say a prayer
That in her heart
she'll find
A trace of love still there
Somewhere, ooooh, oh

[Instrumental Interlude]

Traces of hope in the night
that she'll come back and dry
These traces of tears
From my eyes
Whoooa, oooh, oh, oooh

I heard this song this morning on the way to work. A great song!!!

Circle - Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians

And the words:

Me, I'm a part of your circle of friends
and we notice you don't come around
Me, I think it all depends
on you touching ground with us.
But, I quit. I give up.
Nothing's good enough for anybody else
it seems.
And I quit. I give up.
Nothing's good enough for anybody else
it seems.

And being alone
is the best way to be.
When I'm by myself it's
the best way to be.
When I'm all alone it's
the best way to be.
When I'm by myself
nobody else can say goodbye.

Everything is temporary anyway.
When the streets are wet --
the color slip into the sky.
But I don't know why that means you and I are
- that means you and....
I quit -- I give up.
Nothin's good enough for anybody else it seems.
But I quit. I give up.
Nothing's good enough for anybody else it seems.

And being alone
is the best way to be.
When I'm by myself it's
the best way to be.
When I'm all alone it's
the best way to be.
When I'm by myself
nobody else can say...

Me, I'm a part of your circle of friends
and we notice you don't come around.

Halalalalalala

I love this song.
It's raw and painful but so true.....

I can't make you love me
Bonnie Raitt

Turn down the lights, turn down the bed
Turn down these voices inside my head
Lay down with me, tell me no lies
Just hold me close, don't patronize - don't patronize me

Chorus: cause I can't make you love me if you don't
You can't make your heart feel something it won't
Here in the dark, in these lonely hours
I will lay down my heart and I'll feel the power
But you won't, no you won't
'cause I can't make you love me, if you don't

I'll close my eyes, then I won't see
The love you don't feel when you're holding me
Morning will come and I'll do what's right
Just give me till then to give up this fight
And I will give up this fight

Chorus: cause I can't make you love me if you don't
You can't make your heart feel something it won't
Here in the dark, in these lonely hours
I will lay down my heart and I'll feel the power
But you won't, no you won't
'cause I can't make you love me, if you don't
"The biggest obstacle to most of us achieving our dreams isn't reality, it's our own fear"

"Saint Paul had his Epiphany on the road to Damascus, Mine was on Brokeback Mountain"

Those words are painful, but in so many cases they are so true.
