loved these books as a kid.  liked the tv series too.

first paragraph:
"A musical based on the "Little House" books by Laura Ingalls Wilder is coming to the stage and will make its debut in the state where the author spent many of her childhood years, a theater said Monday."

It is Little House on the Prairie!  There is a whole series of books by Laura Ingalls Wilder that were the basis for the TV series, and now also, the above mentioned musical.
