I have just made reservations...Hannah and I will be with Chrissi and her family in September for a week long visit. So, if needed, I'll bring the bug repellent! We are excited about our trip.L
It could have been such a nice evening .....Well, actually it was, but somewhat tainted. Kids out of the hopuse, wonderful warm summer weather, hubby and I wanted to eat out at a nice restaurant where you can sit outside and where we haven't been previously. We wanted to try something new. The restaurant we had in mind was completely crowed, not a single free table, three more were closed (it's Monday, the day many restaurants have their day off), one didn't look nice at all, and neither did the guests. We drove around for over an hour, finally ending up at a place where we've been before.Oh well. We've never been there at a summer evening before - and never will again, lol. It's a former mill with a creek running by it. There were crowds of wasps and mosquitos . The wasps didn't bother us much, but those damned mosquitos drove me crazy! And the worst thing about it is that my hubby didn't get one single mosquito bite, whereas I counted eleven bites! He always says he has his personal mosquito trap (=me) sitting next to him. And it's true At least the meal was excellent. I had lamb with chanterelles, tomatoes, croquettes and a piece of feta cheese. Mmmmhhh... Lesson of the day: Chrissi loves lamb and hates mosquitos
Poor Chrissi! Sounds like the mosquitoes dined as well as you did.
I hope your next outing includes restaurants that are open for business, plus a bottle of bug repellent.
Morning all,67 degrees this morning and sunny. The students and Hannah are off to ride on the Portland fireboat this morning...L
This one?Ahhh, I remember that flatbread with BBQ topping (in the restaurant at the pier, not on the fireboat ) ...... mmmmhhh, I loved it.
