I have The Patriot ready here with me. I got it in the library.

But now The Brothers Grimm is on tv tonight and I haven't got that one on dvd. I'm going to record it. I'll have to watch The Patriot tomorrow maybe.

I need an extra tv! LOL

I am just curious: do you record to CD/DVD, VHS, or DVR?

hmmm, *scratches head*

I record it on the hard disc of the dvd recorder. I can then put it on cd/dvd I guess, but I haven't done that yet. I don't know if dvr would work.

We are going to be wrapping up our simulcast and chat of 'The Patriot' in a while and will be starting an airing with simultaneous chat window, of our all time favorite, 'Brokeback Mountain' in about 45 minutes to an hour!  please log in to chat if you want to coordinate viewing times!

So start time for BBM is approximately 2:30 Pacific, 5:30 Eastern.

ok, I get it I think.  I don't really know what "dvr" stands for, but it is my hard drive that came with my DISH set up, so that is what I record to, and it saves to the hard drive.  I don't know what I will do when I move though.  Dont' know if there is a way to save what I have recorded on the dvr... or if I get to the keep the dvr as long as I stay with DISH network...  (Candy, the Patriot, Knight's Tale, Monster's Ball, Two Hands, Casanova, Lords of Dogtown are all on my dvr; I only have Brokeback and Four Feathers on dvd)

Thanks all of you who participated in the film and in the double-feature viewing of Brokeback afterward, as well as the simultaneous chat!

I found 'The Patriot' to be full of luscious shots of Heath at his adorable, long-haired best, and his performance reminds me a lot of 'Four Feathers', though I think 'Four Feathers' demanded a great deal more from him as the lead, in a much longer film.  But the film itself was a little too bloody for my taste, even though the cinematography was amazing.  Eminently watchable, but be prepared for some gore!

for Saturday, March 8 we will be screening 'A Knight's Tale' the next feature in chronological order starring Heath and Paul Bettany as Geoffrey Chaucer.  Put in your Netflix order today!

Well, well, there are no coincidences I guess. Right now, The Patriot is on a french tv channel. I've never heard Heath in French before.  :o He sounds terrible. He has such a great voice. I think voice overs are so weird. You can see the actor and you hear someone else's voice. Especially for a movie like BBM, the way Ennis sounds is such a big part of who he is.
