Just when you think they can't make anything more to support my habit, new items come out!

Not long ago, this image came out from McFarlane Toys.   Todd McFarlane has been long involved in the comic book industry.  He has launched this toy company, and had got the licensing rights to DC characters.  He's doing a retro line of Super Friends figures.

The first wave was Green Lantern, Sinestro, Lex Luthor, Batman, Riddler and "Evil Batman", which is red.

I was interested, but not convinced on adding them to the collection.

Then, "Wave 2" of images of upcoming figures were released.  The actual figures are not yet out, but this was released, showing the next wave of figures would be Toyman, Captain Cold, Superman, Flash, and Cheetah.

Interest was piqued more, but still not yet convinced.

Last week, news about "Wave 3" leaked, even though "Wave 2" had  not yet been  released.   The image and list is below, and the figures are rumored to be Aquaman, Bizarro, "Bizarro Batman" (which I have no interest in), Brainic, and Zan, one of the Wonder Twins.

If Zan is being released, they can't make him without Jayna, so she'd be in a future wave of figures. 





Once the Wonder Twins were added to the list,  there was no more debate, I was adding them to the collection!    :laugh:

Why do I know that name Todd McFarlane? Has he done anything else besides things related to comic books?

I saw trailers for the latest Marvel movie yesterday when I took my grandchildren to see "How to Train Your Dragon."

The movie was misnamed. It should have been "How Many Ways Vikings Can Be Stereotyped."  ???

Todd has been involved with comes, and movie production of some super hero movies.

Could it be you're thinking of Luke MacFarlane?  Very similar name, and actor from "Kinsey", "Bros" and numerous Hallmark films?

Now that you mention him, I know the name Luke Macfarlane (I think I saw him once in a Hallmark movie), but I think I was thinking of Seth MacFarlane.
