No bloody way! Worst of my holiday memories with my parents as a kid!

The person below me doesn't believe in sport as a means of keeping healthy/living longer and happier (except *bedroom* sport - yes, I mean *that* kind of sport)  ;)

Hmmmm - I think activity is really important...keeping moving.  But organized sport is just one way to do that (as she judiciously sidesteps the rest of the question).

The person below me longs for the free-ranging imagination of childhood.

not sure. I still let my imagination go where they may, but the "childhood" part is definitely in question, as my imagination can be very adult sometimes.  ;D

True.  I've helped distribute turkey Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners to the poor and have rung the holiday bell for the Salvation Army, and I've canvassed neighborhoods for the DNC prior to two different national elections (not that the latter helped any  :P)

The person below me hasn't decided what to make for dinner tonight yet.

True, true, and true again.  I have the hats Melinda made for us for the Castro extravaganza hanging on my office wall nearest my 'puter, I have the photo the professional photog took of Kirk, Melinda, Nipith, RouxB and me getting on the ferry boat to Alcatraz on another wall, I have a framed Daily Variety post-Oscar (Dave Cullen-sponsored) ad thanking the whole gang hanging on that same wall, I have a screen shot of Ennis leaning against Aguirre's trailer with his paper bag on the step next to him on the next wall, AND I have a screen shot of Jack's blue-eyed stare at Ennis on the hill on the opposite wall.  Oh, and I have the espresso cup that looks like their camp cups Clarissa gave all of us next to a little brown paper bag thingie with a music box in it that plays "Don't Fence Me In" that a coworker brought me back from a recent trip to Wyoming sitting on my desk by my phone.

Yep.  I'm pretty much covered, here.

True! We've been friends since we were toddlers. My parents say since we were 1, her parents say since we were 2. Either way, it doesn't matter. I don't talk to her much anymore (I'm in school in Chicago, her school is in Washington DC) but whenever we do talk, we just pick up where we left off and it's like we had just seen each other yesterday. It's wonderful.

The person below me and another kid used to pretend they were married when they were little.

True!  His name was Charles and he used to have a funny backpack.  He passed away when we were in the third grade and I'm still convinced he was supposed to be my hubby! :(
