Re: Gris leaving CSI...
the topic hasn't be broached yet in the show, has it?

Not that I noticed, but Sara's return to Las Vegas--though not to her old job--because of Warrick's death and funeral seems to be having some impact on him.

Interesting to note that in the main-title credits, George Eads is now coming in third, right after Marg Helgenberger, with Eric Szymanda after him, and then Wallace Langham (the annoying lab guy).

I noticed the credits as well.
I hope the show keeps going strong after Gris leaves.
Can't wait to see how that unfolds.

Did you guys watch yesterday?

That arrogant artist guy cracked me up.. especially in this scene:

Arrogant Artist, Skaggs: I'd love to paint you nude.
Brass:  I don't do nude.  Where would I hang the badge?
Skaggs:  Exactly.

 ;D

What do you think of Riley Adams, the new CSI?
I think I'm gonna like her (and not because she also starred in Season2/3 of The L Word either 8))

I had a BBM-moment at the end of last night's ep. - when Riley whispers to the little boy:  "It's okay...it's okay.."

Spoilers!!!!

So Grissom is gone.  :'(

Anybody else catch his last case last night? I thought it was a good episode. I find it totally believable that Gil would go off to Costa Rica to hunt bugs. I still find the relationship with Sara implausible--much less that they were supposedly banging each other for years behind all our backs--and the final reunion shot with her far too melodramatic for C.S.I.  :(

If I'm remembering correctly, I read in T.V. Guide that Billy Petersen ad libbed in his scene with Nick, and that George Eads nearly lost it for reals.

I believe the show can survive, but, gosh, I'm gonna miss Griss.  :'(

I watched the show last night.  I usually find the serial killer episodes chilling and very creepy.
Of course, I was also preoccupied with the fact that the episode was Gris' last.  :(
I will miss him for sure.  The show won't be the same without him.  That said,  I am looking forward to the changes the show has in store; curious to see how the new guy works with the team.

I thought the ending with Sara was dramatic but sweet.  I think Gris would be happy in the jungle with thousands of bugs to study ... and if that life is with Sara, then so be it.  :)

And like you said, the show will survive  (at least I hope it does)... there are thousands of seasoned CSI-ers out there who will surely keep watching.
