David's "What Is It" For October ** ANSWER POSTED!! **

No description was given regarding this object. But.... since I already know the answer, I think it's probably safe to say it is approximately 10 - 12 inches long and made of metal. The year of manufacture was not indicated.

The winner or winners will receive a lamb from Ennis and Jack!  :D

I first looked at the pictures before I looked at the options, and thought straight away it looked like something for winding string or yarn.

So my pick is a tool for winding string quickly

Love these games David.

I voted for a lid rethreading device....but why you would need to do that is beyond me.

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

Me too, but I think they'd want to conserve things, or recycle if possible--back then. Maybe there was a shortage of lids.  ;) I really don't know how the lids would lose their threads, tho. Hmmmm....maybe I need to change my answer!

It was an old time record player, that worked by cranking it.
