I looked for a thread to post this news, and came up with this one, because it seemed appropriate......
News has just come on here in australia, Monday afternoon......that Steve Irwin, known over there I think as The Crocodile Man.......was stung in the heart by a sting ray barb this morning in northern australia....and has died...
He was a funny and lovable guy, what you saw on tv, was the real bloke, he was as australian as kangaroos.....only aged 44, with a wife and two very young children.....
Australia is reeling from the shock of his death, he was a good ambassador for australia, was an ardent animal lover and observer, and did a lot of work here for the wild and native animals....
He will be missed.......Rest in Peace, Steve Irwin......
