Wow, that's awesome! congrats! I just began reading your work on fanfiction.net last week and am enjoying it very much. I think Jack and Ennis are archetypes. I remember Larry McMurtry talking about his characters Gus and Woodrow and pointing out how literature about the relationships between friends, between loving friends has its archetype in Don Quixote. The pattern is that the friends have contrasting qualities, such as the dreamer vs. the realist. As the story progresses the friends exchange qualities to a degree, the realist becomes a dreamer too. I think that can be applied to a lot of fan fiction about Jack and Ennis. Ennis comes to adopt Jacks dream of living the sweet life whether it is a story were Jack lives and they have a happy ending or if it continues Ennis's story post Jack and he meets somebody new.

Leslie, I am staying at Dev's place and she gave me her copy of "A Love Born From Steel" to read a couple of days ago, to read.

Needless to say I have had my head buried in it since then, and have just finished it this afternoon.

The story is still ringing in my ears, I feel like I have just spent some personal time with Jack and Ennis, sharing in their lives and thoughts, and I thank you for allowing me to do that.

Congratulations on your wonderful writing and a story that cant help, but make the reader feel good.
