I didn't even know that Azerbaijan was in Europe.  Congrats anyway!

It has to do with EBU. European Broadcasting Union, which country who are a member of the union.

Apparently the Vatican can compete too, like San Marino.

   Can you imagine!?

Jedward are kinda loved and hated at the same time in the UK. They were in the X Factor over here and while they are like duracel bunnies and are fun to watch.. they are pretty terrible singers!!! They were definitely better last night than in the semis... the backing singers were louder and more in tune than them in the semis!!.... They have had some good vocal coaching over the last few months I think!!

I spent last night in front of the TV, with my laptop on my knees and my family around. (Bay City) John, Monika, Hasse from Sweden and I chatted on a thread on FB all along. It was such fun and we want to do it again next year.

Thank you Monika, John and Hasse for your company. You made a fun event even funner. :)

Now that we do have some Brokies (cross-country, cross-continental and cross-forums) following the Eurovision - how about scheduling a chat for next year's event? Or - it could also provide another excuse for us EuroBrokies to meet up, if we ever ran out of reasons!  As if, LOL ;D
Plenty possibilities around the Eurovision, we just have to think of it in time. The Eurovision always paasses me completely unnoticed until the very day. Someone please bump this thread next year. :)

I am sure some Swedish can help you with that bump. We live with it from January to May almost every saturday. And look what we came up with. Last year second winner.

This is Eric Saades song from 2010

You're in good company, Paul.

Most of us didn't.

That's a very wide definition of Europe, I'd say.

Did they win when they were on the X Factor?  I watched their performances on youtube and man were they ever off key, and only 17 then.  I liked their audition when one of the judges asked them where they see themselves in 15 years and without missing a beat John replies "Well, I see myself being older."  Very cocky, lol!  Simon hated them.

Here's the audition clip:
