If I know that breaths are bated it keeps me going, marie!

off to get that snack!

ETA: Okay okay, so I fell asleep in the midst of downing taco chips... and could barely get myself going to get to work on time today.  So I push too hard.  But tonight after piano practice is another tale.

I have the next chapter half done.  I needed some more sleep before I finished it though!

Glad you got some rest, Louise - these people are exhausting!

SPOILERS

Oh, gosh, Wayne never learns does he?  :-\   In spite of that, it was great being at the bar with the gang! It's kind of comforting to see that some things never change!

“I agree,”Gene added. “Specially if ya chase off one a his paranoids.”

Sounds like the hospital is ground zero tonight. It's never had a night like this one and probably never will again - that goes for the sheriff's office and the entire town for that matter!

Wow - you're outdoing yourself, Louise - and that's not easy!

that's one way to look at it, and no, no, as soon as Wayne knew Ellery was not up to snuff he went for the gusto!  He's Wayne after all, right?

I'm glad you are still reading, marie, and that I have a small and dedicated handful of commenters who keep me going, cause I'm working really hard to make this the turning point for the new series and a whole passel of new characters and situations!  And next month will see the published debut novel of the actual series of Greenlea Tales:  "Tourmaline."

And it's 78,000 words now!

And chapter 53:

http://louisev.livejournal.com/336101.html

SPOILERS

omg, there is no way out of this for Stevens.  He's in for a long wait if he thinks his brethren are going to run in and try to save his ass.  And it's an understatement to say that Esteban is on shaky ground, too. Wow - what a terrifically written scene that was.

Ellery next?  Yay!! Everything is better with some Ellery!
