“Baroque style is about freedom and passion,” says Orliński, who was born in Poland, trained at New York’s renowned Juilliard School and in 2016 won the Metropolitan Opera's prestigious National Council Auditions.

While Hasse came from Germany, ANIMA SACRA’s special focus is on composers of the Neapolitan school and it features world premiere recordings of no fewer than eight arias. Mea tormenta, properate  was recorded in beautiful surroundings at Lonigo near Venice in February this year with Il Pomo D'oro; Jakub Józef is partnered by the brilliant team of Il pomo d’oro and conductor Maxim Emelyanychev. All in all, quite a debut!

By the way, according to that book I mentioned on the other thread, people born the same day as you include Maria Montessori, Caligula, James Coburn, Richard Gere, Itzhak Perlmann, Van Morrison, Wilhelmina (Queen of the Netherlands), and Alan Jay Lerner. Quite an esteemed crowd!

The book says, "Having a getaway to escape to, a cherished hobby or a secret role which they play far from the public eye is often essential to their psychological well-being" That sounds like our haven of BetterMost, where we find seclusion, friendship, and amusement!
