Like the idea of Jeff G...

But we saw pics of her Dads in her locker in the first ever episode. And one of them was Black!

I think it would have been cooler if they had gotten the two guys in the photo to play the dads.  I like continuity.  :)

Well, Brian Stokes Mitchell is  African American--and he is an amazing singer and Jeff Goldblum is a serious musician (who knew??), so--why not!

Glee  First Look:
Ricky Martin Brings the Sexy
as the New Spanish Teacher!

by Tierney Bricker
Today 1:11 PM PST

¡Ay, caramba!

Excuse us for a moment while we compose ourselves after getting our first glimpse of Ricky Martin's upcoming guest appearance on Glee.  Seriously, do any of you have a fan we can borrow?

Martin and the cast, including Naya Rivera and Chris Colfer, preview the singer's appearance on the show in this new behind-the-scenes video Fox just released. Spoiler alert: Martin speaks Spanish in it. Prepare to swoon!

So how will we meet Martin's character, Spanish teacher David Martinez, the man performing LMFAO's hit "Sexy and I Know It"?!

In a totally awesome way, says the man himself: "This is how I met the glee club: 'Hi, nice to meet you. I'm sexy and I know it and let's dance!'" Martin says with a laugh.

Hey, it works for us! "It's one of my favorite moments in my career," Martin reveals of performing the number with the Glee  kids. Aw!

"Ricky Martin has what we like to call 'duende,'" Rivera teases. "You'll learn the meaning of that in this episode." If duende means the ability to shake your hips like it's nobody's business, then yes, Martin definitely has that!

So how did everyone on set react to having the "She Bangs" singer on set? "In my three years on Glee, I have never seen a guest star walk onto set and literally everyone is just melting," Colfer says.

Martin's episode of Glee  airs this Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 8 p.m. on Fox.

How are excited are you to see Martin on Glee ? Do you think he's the show's sexiest guest star ever? Sound off in the comments!

The last episode of Ryan Murphy's Glee finishes tonight, Friday, March 20, 2015.

All things must come to an end, I suppose, but as simple, silly, light it was, it was also important, and not only because

"--it [was] the first time on network television that your love song is sung by two teenage boys--to each other. "

Could anything like this have been on American television ten years ago?

Although the first episodes of Glee aired in Fall 2009. it was initially conceived in August 2005, just weeks before the 62nd Venice International Film Festival was to award the Golden Lion to Ang Lee's Brokeback Mountain and Brokeback 's  theatrical release in December 2005.

Totally coincidental, except--it was simply time.
