Happenings in the Hub!
« on: October 25, 2009, 09:25:24 pm »
So...there's lots going on around Boston these days, aka The Hub of the Universe  ::).

This is the thread for posting those random pictures, to keep you up to date and to make you want to come and visit, where, between all of us Boston Brokies, you'll always be welcome!  If we can't find cherry cake, we can find some clam chowdah and beans.

Lynne & Paul

(pics to come)  ;)

Don't forget the brown bread. ...

OK, buds...here's the scoop!

There's always something going on in New England these days - it's like a mini-San Francisco because of the concentration of Brokies.  We've had so many great experiences this year - and I'm sure I'll leave some things out, but for me it started with my road trip with Dev to get here...

Then there were many wonderful restaurant excursions with Paul because the man is a gourmand extraordinaire.

Some of us spent the weekend in Provincetown getting even more spoiled by Paul!

And Chuckie came up and did the AIDS Walk for the AIDS Action Committee in June with Paul (I turned in the $$$ - ankle troubles).  And Gwillion and Mike met us for dinner afterward.

Mike (ZephrK) and I spent the Fourth of July together seeing the fireworks at the Hatch Shell.  And I've been down to Providence to visit him.

Amanda visited!!   8)

I went to Maine and stayed with Lauren and we both spent Labor Day with Leslie.

Andrew and I went to see James McMurtry and he answered a couple of questions and I got an autograph.

Some of us went to see Brokeback Mountain at the Brattle Theatre.

Some of us went to hear Judy Shepard speak about The Meaning of Matthew in Newton.

And I had lunch with Sandy in Lexington near my work at a healthy place called 'Nourish'.

Lisa came out and visited with Paul and me one night a week or so ago....my brain is still reeling from that one.

Chris was here last week and visited with Lisa.

So you can see how I'm losing track.  ::) ::) :P

Many of these events were 'big' enough to have their own threads where any photos that were taken are safely uploaded.  But I still have photos and nowhere to put them.

Please be patient with me...they are now out of my phone and uploaded to divshare...but it's 11:30 here and past my bedtime, so the posting will need to wait until tomorrow night...In the meanwhile, anticipation....

I third that!

It's great that there are places where brokies actually can meet easily in everyday life without a lot of planning and travelling!!

I knew I forgot things - Andrew took me to Giselle and Paul went elephant-riding!

You do need to come for a visit - we'd love to have you!!   :-* :-*
