Gay plotline on 1/28/10 episode of "Bones"
« on: January 29, 2010, 01:22:51 pm »
The 1/28/10 episode of Bones featured a gay plotline. The murder victim was a gay dentist who for recreation played on a gay full-contact (American) football team. The suspects included the victim's ex, a (very hunky) guy who engaged in bow hunting (made me think of Brad--in a good way), and the victim's current boyfriend, a closeted ex-Marine who played with him on the football team.

One nice thing about the plot featured Booth, a former Marine sniper, saying very casually and almost nonchalantly that gay guys had saved his life in battle many times.  :)

I won't say anything more about the plot except that in the end, the murder actually wasn't a gay-bashing.

I'm not sure what the point was to having the victim's remains found in the middle of a Civil War reenactment.  ;D

C.S.I. has used Civil War reenactments as a backdrop for plotlines, too, at least twice, if I recall correctly.

I just discovered "Bones" recently. It has been on German TV for a good while, but I wasn't interested. Only when I accidently came on it while switching through the channels, I liked it. Since a few weeks, I'm following the series, and I like it.
I'm curious how long it will take until we get to see this episode.
