I know you may have said this before...but do you have siblings that can help with your dad?

I'm so sorry to hear about that Jess.  :(

My family doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving. Mom never liked to cook much. I will probably fry some chicken for Cory and I, but it will be just a regular meal.

I never did like turkey anyway. I think it tastes terrible.  :P

I like oven roasted turkey...but my sister has a tendency to try to be different *shudder* and some of the things she does with that poor turkey ought to be outlawed!!

Yeah. My mom always tried to get very creative at dinner time. She didn't like to cook, but when she did, it sometimes would get a little scary. If you are wondering what I am talking about, read my post in the fruitcake thread....

Thanksgiving is NOT the time to be being all creative, the menu is set in stone!...if you can't help yourself be creative with a dessert..and ADD don't substitute!!! (can never have too much dessert)

Mom always tried to be creative. I remember she put nuts and raisins in nearly everything. Mom was Native American. For some reason, we Native Americans like nuts and raisins. But I don't like them in things like salads, ice cream and pork chops!
