Loved the trailer. A German review labled it as a comedy/drama mix, which I like anyway.
I think I'm gonna see that one. Opens on Christmas in Germany. Is it already released in the US?

Yes, Chrissi!

Opens in New York on Friday, September 16th at the Angelika.
Opens in Los Angeles and Pasadena on Friday, September 16th at Laemmle's Sunset 5 and the Pasadena Playhouse

"Directed by Tom Tykwer. From the director of Run, Lola, Run  and The International  comes a sexy romantic drama with a nod to classic Hollywood's screwball comedies. Hanna and Simon, a couple in their early forties, live together in Berlin. With their 20th anniversary looming, they both become restless despite being truly and deeply in love. Unbeknownst to one another, they become acquainted with Adam, a younger man, and fall in love with him. Clearly not your typical 1930's romp, this reinvention of those classic films with Tykwer's sleek direction is a playful update: an intellectual study of a modern couple looking for redefinition in a world of absolutes. Official Selection, Toronto International Film Festival."

Yes, Chrissi!

Now how is this fair? It's not. We EuroBrokies always have to wait for months till we can see new movies our fellow Brokies are talking about. For once now, there's a German film - and what happens? It's released in the US first. *grumble, grumble*

Yep, pretty much what the German review said. I think I'm really gonna like this one. Hubby also loved the idea of it. Heck, WE are a couple in our forties, being together for 20+ years. I think we match the target group. ;D

Doesn't seem fair, does it? Probably has something to do with money.  :(

Money's a good point. ;D
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's about the money, even though I don't get it how it works. Where's the difference between releasing a movie worldwide at once, in contrast to releasing it bit by bit for several countries?
Okay, sometimes there might be a big blockbuster movie in one country which you don't want your smaller film to run against. But over all?

Releasing a film selectively just encourages the underground market, IMOl  >:(

The plot reminds me of Teorema, by Pier Paolo Pasolini, starring Terry Stamp in the younger man role.

and also Jules and Jim, a movie by Francois Truffault.
