Since you're away from home for your birthday, I think you should celebrate again when you get there!! Happy birthday, friend!!

Thanks so much, Kelda, Sonja, Paul (was that the restaurant where we saw Sebastian Junger?), Fran, Gil, Chrissie (loved that show, and yes, Alaska is full of people just like that!), Marie, Sandy, Katherine (I waved to you as I flew over Minnesota), Sophia, Roux, Berit, Fritz, Chuck (great pic!), Lee, John (love the kitty Macbeths and the moose man!), and Truman (didn't get to see many mountains due to clouds, but of course I thought of Brokeback).  You all rock!  :-*

Here's our excellent review:  http://community.adn.com/adn/node/159838

And an interview by the Anchorage Daily News, with more photos if you click on the right link:  http://www.adn.com/2012/02/18/2324925/red-meat-on-frozen-ground-cold.html

Right after midnight on Saturday, we were celebrating in a nearby restaurant and all the opera singers sang "Happy Birthday" to me.  It don't get much better than that.  Pins your ears right back!!  ;D

Congratulations on a big success, Meryl! :D

What I don't get is why your job is done after opening night?
Are there no more rehearsals/analysing/debriefing after it premiered? Or do you pass on the job to someone else?

Happy birthday, Merly.  I'm contrite, discovering that it's been some years since I contributed to this thread.  My love and respect never waivered.  I'm sorry that my attentiveness did.  I'm wishing you a lovely year ahead.
