I just finished watchin Brokeback Mountain, on the anniversary a last year's big (disastrous) night. Also reread the book these past few days.
Maybe It's because a the number a times I've seen it, and read it, but I'm focused more on the incredible performances - Ennis' retreat inta his clothing (like a turtle hidin in his shell) when talkin ta Jack about wonderin if people know when he's walkin on the pavement. Or the veins poppin outa Jack's neck in that incredible speech that ends with 'I wish I knew how ta quit you'. Or the truly amazing expression a loss in Ennis's 'I'm nowhere, I'm nothing' - all along knowin that harder times are just around the corner.
Guess I'm sayin, it still hits REAL hard, for me, after so many viewings.
I'm sure lotsa ya will be watchin it taday/tanight, instead a that farce happenin on TV this evenin. Wonderin if others wanted ta share their feelins/thoughts about their reaction ta viewin this time.
