Thank you kindly for that, Kelda! I enjoyed that cute Caledonian cover of the Roger Miller classic.

Just checked - thats from 1990..... Seventeen years ago and they haven't aged really!!

They're enjoying somewhat of a revival in the UK at the moment...

I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" is an unofficial charity single for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day 2007 in the UK. It has been covered by comedians Peter Kay and Matt Lucas, in character as the wheelchair users Brian Potter of Phoenix Nights and Andy Pipkin from Little Britain respectively (the word "walk" in the chorus has been replaced with "roll"). The Proclaimers feature in the song and the accompanying video....
and it was at number one for weeks!

Also one of my good friends works in a small edinburgh based advertising and production agency and they do a bit of work for the proclaimers... she sent me a picture yesterday of her grannies.. who are getting used in an proclaimers exhibition in Leith in June as part of the Leith festival..... thought you might like the photos -  I think they are hilarious, especially since I know her grannies!
