RUFUS WAINWRIGHT in Brussels in November
« on: July 04, 2007, 07:16:53 am »
Hi,

Wanting to let you know -

Rufus Wainwright - Vendredi 16 novembre 2007 - 20h00 - Cirque Royal, Bruxelles

Thanks Jude, you going?  I didn't know that about growing up in Canada.  Maybe we can add him to "O Canada" week here at BetterMost.  :)

I'd love to go! I will very probably go! It's a long time from now, so I hope that nothing will come in the way of the concert.

Being of Canadian decent gives him an extra edge! In a good way of course!  ;D

Hi Kelda!

I still have computer problems at home, so sorry for not replying earlier.

Well, I got my tickets for November last week! It will only be my second time that I'll see him. But I can't wait!!  :-*

The concert was last Friday and it was fantabulous! Rufus really is a showman! He doesn't shy away from 'showing off' his nice legs (on heels) and his sexy sexy voice!

I have pictures and will try to post them, when I can.

Kitties are fine! Thank you Kelda. But yesterday one of my mom's cats was put asleep. I didn't even know, the cat had been ill for a day already and found out about it only when it had already been put asleep. I'm really sad and angry with my mother! The cat was part of my life for 12 years (on and off) and now suddenly it's gone.. I can't believe it yet.. .....  :-X

Glad you had a good time but sad to hear about your kitty..

How are sayif and brokie?

I'm doing some volunteer work for the local cat protection team so every Wednesday I go for about an hour and clean out some pens and play with the cats - its quite fun!

Ah, Jude, sorry to hear about your family cat.  You've had a tough year or so that way.  On the other hand, how are "our" beautiful kitties?  I'd love to see some photos.

I've been meaning to tell you all, and I guess I'll do it in this thread -

I went to see The Roches the other night here in Seattle, three sisters from NY whose music I have loved for many years.  The opening act was Lucy Wainwright Roche, the daughter of one of the three sisters, Suzzy Roche, and Loudon Wainwright 3rd.  So, Rufus's half-sister.  She was sweet.

Thank you Kelda. That's tremendously brave of you to work in the cat protection team! I think I could never do that, because it would haunt me seeing all these abandoned cats waiting to be adopted. Its so sad. But it sounds like you are enjoying it! Good job!

I will post pictures of Rufus in my next post and try to upload one short video I took on YouTube.
