May i ask how tall you are ednbarby? I know Reese is quite small, not even average height. She is 5' 2½ (1.59 m)!

Sure.  5'7".  Only a little bit taller than average.  But enough so that if I preferred men who were significantly taller than I, they were few in far between in my dating days.  Of course Reese can't help her size.  But I see a pattern emerging in Jake's choice of significant others, and it irritates the crap outta me.  (In case you couldn't tell.)

To give you an idea of my height in heels, here's a pic of me getting an autograph from Ralph Fiennes (I never grow tired of dropping that name or posting this pic - sorry to those who are bored with it already).  He's supposed to be 5'11", though I'd take a flier at more like 5'9 1/2."  In two inch heels, I could almost look him straight on in the eyes.  And what a mind-blowing experience that was.  ANYway:

(What IS his penchant for dating tiny little mini-people, anyway?  Did I mention I loathed those girls in college who ended up with the super-tall, super-hot basketball players?  The important thing is I'm not bitter...)

Actually, I was fortunate in this department, too.  My husband is 6' even.  I'm at the perfect height to rest my head comfortably on his shoulder when standing (or lying down, come to think of it  ), but not so much smaller than he is that he seems to tower over me and make me look like a tiny little mini person.

According to the pediatrician's estimate when our son was two (and was 3'2" tall), he's going to be 6'4" when he's an adult.  I'd better start talking up how cool taller girls are *now.*  I'd say girls or guys, but he's already made it pretty clear who his early crushes are, and they're all girls who happen to be a little bit older (and taller).

We have one of those rulers on the door that you use to mark the kids' ages periodically. Two weeks ago (Easter) my niece was here so my (tall) son took her in to measure her against the gold standards of her two cousins. At 8, she is 4 inches taller than my son (the 6'3" son, my only one) was at the same age. I thought my sister was going to faint dead away.

LOL, I was looking for something on Striped Wall... and while scrolling through a million screencaps to find one particular thing... I passed by the reunion scene section.  And, I thought I'd post this super adorable Jack pic.  The way his face is all squished and smiley-looking is just too funny and cute for words.
