MUST SEE movie: "The Bubble"

Oh thanks for the trailer! I had not seen anything yet with subtitles.

I can't wait until it's out on DVD

This film has moved me enough to actually make me DO what I've been wanting to do anyhow: learn Hebrew  8) :D
I had my first lesson yesterday (through the Internet, with a teacher - it is interactive and you can speak), and I can feel I am going to love this language!

Try to get hold of "Walk on Water" too, by the same director: it rightly won awards at the Berlin film festival (among others). It is one of the best films I have ever seen. About memory, forgiveness, love, violence and its dead end (centred on the German-Israeli relationship today, with the shadow of the Shoah). Grandiose, as we say in French !

OMG. That is so cool! Me too! Actually right now I am working on the Hebrew Alphabet. I know I will never really use it in any real capacity but I want to know it as I have always just loved how Hebrew looks in writing.

I'm not taking any formal lessons. Just several books and a reasonably priced CD set. Anyway I still do enjoy it and it's always fun to learn something new. I just plan to learn what I can learn and keep working on it.  :)

Wow wishes, that's cool ! I really enjoy the lessons - I love learning languages, I always have - and I do hope to become proficient enough to actually use Hebrew one day. I hope to go to Israel one day, and why not spend some time there, in a kibbutz...

Anyone else seen The Bubble in the US yet (or elsewhere)?

Wishes:
I have not seen it yet. I'll have to wait for the DVD.

Isabelle, I was a Kibbutz volunteer many years ago when I was young. I was only there for 6 months. I returned early due to some family issues and wish I had stayed the year I planned. Israel is a wonderful country and I was never afraid to be there. I have not returned but plan to. I have wanted to since the day I left.
