For example, Chrissi, a fried egg is fried, using just a spoonful or so of fat.
Fried chicken is deep-fried, using a big kettle of hot fat. Deep-fried things, such as chicken, are often (but not always) breaded.
Here are some more Fun Frying Facts:
Elvis Presley reportedly liked his peanut-butter-and-banana sandwiches fried, using a whole stick of butter for each.
At the Minnesota state fair, they offer deep fried Twinkies, Oreos and several candy bars -- on a stick.
Some attendees at the 2007 Brokie BBQ went on a short day-trip to Wyoming and enjoyed deep-fried pickles!

Oooooo, I am so **** sometimes. "frying pan" is one of the basic words children learn at school pretty early in English class ::). Of course I know what frying is. At least normally, but apparently not today ::) :laugh:.

If I have to have such a huge Mr. Hyde side, food-wise, at least, thank God I also have a Dr. Jekyll side. I actually eat a lot of fresh produce and whole foods, and, alas, CRAP! :)
