They will. The town also has a "no-kill" animal shelter. It's completely manned by foster "parents". The animals stay in homes until they are adopted. There is an adoption time at the PetCo every Saturday. I got one of my dogs there. You have to fill out a lot of papers and agree to have the pet spayed/neutered too.

I've always wanted to be a foster parent to kittens, but my cat Baxter does not play  well with others. :(
he is a rescue cat and you would think he would be a little more compassionate to other strays !  LOL
But.. NO............................

Hiya Jan!

My innards are doing just fine, thanks for asking!

Shasta542:
My cats never did well when a newbie came along. I've decided--since my cat died--that the next time, I'll get two at the same time so they will enjoy each other. Once when I got a kitten, one of my older cats ran away, and I never found her. I'd had her for about 14 years or so too. So I will never do that again. My other older cat stayed, but never really liked the new one at all. I wonder why they are like that? My dogs aren't like that at all.
