I'll still go to visit them for lunch, and give mom a small gift for her bday, which was Wednesday.   I called her that day, but didn't give her anything.  I got her a selection of dark chocolate and white chocolate Nonpareils.

We had a nice day on  Sunday and Monday.  Today, about 2:00, we had a downpour.  It seems to be  over now, but skies are still grey.

I'm under blue skies and sun, but found this pic today, and it just made me laugh out loud






Hope everyone is doing well and having a good/relaxing time this weekend.

Today I'll be doing groceries, and baking some cupcakes, and getting some cleaning done around the apartment.

Sunday will be laundry and some more baking, and then Monday is a bbq at my friends' house.

Hello Bettermost friends!

Grey, rainy day here.  Much cooler than yesterday, which is just fine with me!  :laugh:


Lee was posting some older pics, so I thought I would share pics of the older family portraits that my mom has hanging in the living room and dining room of their home.



Some didn't turn out too great, but you should get the general idea of what they looked like.







This is my maternal grandfather's family.  My great-grandfather is the man standing in the middle of the pic, great-grandma is the woman sitting on his right.  My grandfather is the young boy to the right in the suit and tie.
